CORROSION 2019 is a highly-regarded trade conference sponsored by NACE International dealing with the issues of corrosion management and preventing its effects. Scientists, engineers, educators, researchers, vendors, asset owners and students alike come together and share their knowledge and ideas at NACE’s conference and trade show. This year, SNI enjoyed a productive run at the NACE trade show in Nashville, Tennessee the week of March 24, 2019. Members of SNI's team gave a few noteworthy presentations at the show.
Among the presenters was Steve Strachan, SNI’s Vice President of Sales. In his presentation Strachan introduced a new revolutionary technology in the field of non-intrusive corrosion monitoring: wireless UT sensors. In the presentation, Strachan discussed the advantages of SNI’s new technology. Some of the highlights of this presentation included the explanation of the benefits of UT sensors.
The presentation explained that this new technology has provided operators and asset owners with the ability to reduce costs and promote safety and operational efficiency. These new wireless sensors will provide new automated sensor technology and can be installed on either a permanent or temporary basis to provide answers to questions that previously needed manual work done over a much longer period of time. The presentation also covered calculating ROI for the application.
With this technology saving time and money while promoting safety in such ways, it’s no wonder the presentation was met with such excitement and was a huge success. To learn more about this new technology by SNI, you can download the slide deck given at the NACE trade show here:
